Our services are free of charge
If you need our help, with the exception of our training and consultancy services, we think it's important that you can benefit from our alcohol, drugs and gambling services free of charge.
Our services are confidential
You can be reassured that you can talk to us in confidence and that we take our responsibilities for confidentiality very seriously. We’ll give you our Working Together agreement at the first possible opportunity and our staff will explain how we process the information you give us.
We have a legal responsibility to keep up-to-date and accurate records to help us provide a safe and effective service. Within NORCAS we keep one file for each client, which is securely locked away when not in use. If appropriate, we may need to contact your GP, Social Services or other professionals to help us decide, together with you, on the best possible treatment.
We'll always seek your consent to keep records, to refer them to others or to share information with other agencies. There are some circumstances, though, where we have a legal obligation to disclose information without gaining consent, such as Public Interest Justification or Prevention of Terrorism.
Our services are accredited
All of our staff work to national drug and alcohol standards and we are accredited by the Federation of Drug & Alcohol Professionals. We are a partner with GamCare and provide a safe, confidential environment in which to offer counselling for people who have problems with gambling. NORCAS has held the Investor in People accreditation since 1999 and was awarded Investors in People Silver in 2010.
We are registered with the CQC (Care Quality Commission) and are accredited by Supporting People.
