Best ‘Not for Profit’ PR award and a warm welcome to new faces

NORCAS is delighted to have been named as a winner at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) East Anglia PRide Awards 2010, which was held at Dunston Hall on 3rd November.

The charity was awarded gold in the Not-For-Profit category for the communications campaign surrounding its re-launch in September 2009. The campaign was created and implemented in partnership with Norwich based public relations consultancy, Pinstripe PR.

The judges thought this was “a classic example of a strong and positive campaign covering both internal and external audiences. The implementation results against the objectives set were very impressive, achieving high levels of media coverage and public interaction set against a limited budget. The judges were also impressed by the integration of an internal campaign for charity staff – an area often overlooked.”

The campaign was also recognised as a finalist in the ‘Best Campaign 10K and Under’ and ‘Best Media Relations’.

NORCAS chief executive Maggie Williams said: “It is great to receive this recognition of the strength of both our internal and external communications throughout a period of considerable change for the organisation. It also reflects the effectiveness of our teamwork, both internally and with our partners.”

The PRide Awards showcases the best public relations work being carried out across the UK regions.
