[gambling services]

Our free and confidential services are available to anyone of any age, male or female. Here are the services we offer to help clients reduce their addiction to gambling or give up altogether, or to support those negatively affected by the problem gambling of someone close to them.

GamCare counselling

At NORCAS, we deliver GamCare's specialist individual counselling for people with gambling problems and their families and others who are affected by it. Our services are available in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Ipswich and Lowestoft. The service includes an initial assessment followed by up to 24 sessions with regular reviews throughout this time. Counselling takes place on a one-to-one basis in a private and confidential setting. It can help you to work through issues that may have been affecting your life adversely and contributing to any addictive behaviour. This can empower you to move forward positively and make beneficial life changes.

Addiction or dependency?

Many people use and understand the word 'addiction' when referring to problem drinking, drug using or gambling, so we've used the term on our website. But at NORCAS, we often use the terms 'dependency' or 'addictive behaviour' instead because they're preferred by the World Health Organisation, and because they're less judgemental too.
