We know that making changes in your life isn't always easy on your own, especially when it comes to drinking less alcohol, taking fewer drugs or stopping either altogether. That's why it can help to talk to someone about the problems you might be having. At NORCAS, you'll find someone you can talk to in confidence - and telling them about the problems can be the first step to finding some of the solutions.
Many people use and understand the word 'addiction' when referring to problem drinking, drug using or gambling, so we've used the term on our website. But at NORCAS, we often use the terms 'dependency' or 'addictive behaviour' instead because they're preferred by the World Health Organisation - and because they're less judgemental too.
You decide the changes you want to make and we'll give you all the facts and information you need. Together, we'll create a support plan that will help you work towards reducing the harm from drugs or alcohol, cutting down or cutting them out completely.
We'll help you make changes, step by step. Your first, most important step is to talk to us. Call us on 01502 513444, email , or find your nearest NORCAS centre.
