Silver Honour for NORCAS’s Best Practice

NORCAS has been named as the only not-for-profit organisation to gain the Investors in People silver award status for their client centred specialist service and staff development programs.

NORCAS scooped the Investors in People (IIP) Silver award following a rigorous independent audit. Just three organisations in the East of England achieved the much respected silver status, with NORCAS being the only charity.

NORCAS chief executive Maggie Williams said: “Being awarded the Investors in People Silver award is a brilliant acknowledgment for NORCAS and a reflection of the dedication and teamwork shown by all the members of staff who work here. The great thing about the Investors in People framework is that it is outcome based, which is very much aligned with our results based approach and shows how we pull together as a team to make a real difference in people’s lives.”

The IIP awards are based on tailored assessments designed to support organisations in planning, implementing and evaluating effective strategies. Its aim is to increase the productivity of the UK economy by improving the way in which organisations manage and develop their people, leading to business improvement and better public services.

NORCAS performed strongly in a number of areas including its core values; commitment to providing a client centred specialist service to the community in Norfolk and Suffolk; its processes for strategic and operational planning, including the involvement of trustees, managers and staff; its management of corporate identity changes and restructuring; the charity’s commitment to a wide range of staff development and its encouragement of staff ideas.
