MOTIVATING PEOPLE TO CHANGE

2-day course, 2 locations

Many people experiencing substance misuse and like problems find it difficult to make firm decisions to change their behaviour. This course, based on the model of the process of change, will explore how to identify and increase motivation and develop techniques to assist individuals through their fear and uncertainty into setting realistic and achievable goals. The course includes both theory and practical application in the form of role-play based exercises. Ideal for all who feel they need help to start helping.

BY THE END OF THE DAY PARTICIPANTS WILL :

  • Have gained a full understanding of the stages in the process of change
