DRUG USE AND PREMISES

THE LAW AND GOOD PRACTICE1-day course, 2 locations

The recent trial and conviction of the two Wintercomfort day centre workers for "knowingly permitting the supply" of drugs on their premises has highlighted the need for all those who are involved in the running of premises to be fully aware of the obligations the law places on them. This course is designed to allay peoples fears and make clear how to tread the legal line between maintaining a safe environment and showing concern for the welfare of the individual.

BY THE END OF THE DAY PARTICIPANTS WILL :

  • Be fully conversant with the legislation governing drug use and premises
  • Understand what constitutes an effective drug policy
  • Feel able to begin the process of devising a drug policy commensurate with the needs of their organisation.
  • Have increased their confidence in dealing with drug related incidents at work
